Debbie began her insurance career over 25 years ago working for Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company, marketing health and life insurance products to property & casualty brokers. She also represented Safeco, establishing payroll deduction arrangements for hospital employees, allowing them to access coverage for their homes and automobiles at more affordable rates.

The next phase of Debbie’s career was spent working as the Manager of PPO Operations for a large regional insurance carrier.  After several years in this position, Debbie was promoted to Director of Third-Party Administrative Services where she provided marketing administrative services to large area employers. Debbie coordinated plan implementation, including enrollments, plan-building, system set-up, plan document preparation and claims processing. This invaluable experience now allows Debbie to provide our clients with a unique, ‘inside-out” perspective of employee benefits.  When a plan problem arises, she can quickly ascertain the appropriate solution, saving clients valuable time and money.

Debbie has served on both the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and John Deere Health Broker Advisory Boards.  She has also been recognized numerous times as a top broker in East Tennessee by several insurance carriers.

After working in sales through college, Ryan began his professional career in the field of Information Technology. After a few years in IT, he was drawn back to the sales arena where he accepted a job working for a leading ancillary insurance carrier. A year after taking that position, he was promoted to District Sales Coordinator, where he was recognized for both sales and leadership achievements. It was during this time that Ryan became acquainted with Debbie Perry, who offered him an opportunity to join her and continue to build her agency.

Ryan currently works with clients in nearly every industry, serving clients from 2 - 2,000 employees. Ryan regularly utilizes his IT background facilitating the many technologies utilized at PMG. In addition, Ryan created and leads our highly successful T.E.A.C.H. initiative.  He has particularly enjoyed the challenges associated with the evolution of the insurance industry since the passage of the Affordable Care act, working hard to assist in navigating the market.

James has been active in the insurance industry for 16 years, working during that time in both sales and client services.   He has shown great versatility, performing marketing, reporting, customer service and performing training for other associates.  James recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary with PMG.  In addition to handling the quoting process for nearly all PMG clients, James also applies his knowledge and experience to assist clients as a Senior Account Manager. 

James has lived in East Tennessee most of his life, where he graduated from Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee. He lives in Oak Ridge with his wife and 6 children and spends most of his time outside of work active in his local church and keeping boys away from his 4 daughters.

Sara has been working in the benefit industry for 15 years, 11 of which have been with PMG as a Senior Account Manager.  Sara’s primary focus is providing customer service and daily interaction between clients and insurance carriers.  Before joining PMG, Sara worked in human resource/benefit management for two Knoxville-based companies.  Sara enjoys building personal relationships with her clients and their employees and finds it particularly rewarding to provide high-level service that directly impacts their lives and businesses.

Sara has lived in Knoxville all of her life, where she is married and has 2 sons.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family and chasing her boys between ballparks for baseball and basketball games.

 

 LINDSAY SERFASS  Account Executive

Lindsay joined the PMG Benefits team in January 2012 as an Account Executive.  She specializes in large and small group sales for medical, dental, vision, disability income insurance, life insurance and other ancillary products. In addition to sales, Lindsay assists the Account Management team in supporting our existing clients with various needs. 

Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she majored in Advertising and received an athletic scholarship as part of the Tennessee Cheerleading Squad.  After graduating, Lindsay began her sales career with a staffing firm in Naples, FL followed by a 2 year stint as an Account Executive for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.  Working in staffing and with the Chamber, Lindsay has gained a unique perspective on the challenges faced by businesses both large and small.  Lindsay has excelled in bringing that knowledge and experience to PMG where she works with both new and existing clients.  

 

 HOLLY DEFRANCO  Account Manager

Prior to being a stay at home mother to four children, Holly worked in property management for a local real estate company.  Her background has equipped her with exceptional customer service skills, a mind for detail, and a strong desire to help others.  

Holly is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in English.  Holly met her husband Chris while attending UT, and they've been happily married for 17 years.  On the weekends, if she isn't busy toting her children between basketball and lacrosse games, you may find her in the mountains hiking or camping with her family.  Holly is an active member at First Baptist Concord. 

 

 ELLEN BENNETT  Account Manager

Ellen is the newest member of the PMG team, having joined our firm in 2016.  Ellen is no stranger to benefits administration, having spent ten years in the industry in various roles including Executive Administrative Assistant at a brokerage firm, as well as Senior Claims Examiner and then Client Services Manager at a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).  Her positive attitude and eagerness to assist clients makes her a great asset to the PMG team.  Ellen is a graduate of Missouri College.  

Ellen moved to Knoxville from St. Louis, Missouri in 2015 with her three children to purse a new beginning in beautiful East Tennessee.  In her spare time, Ellen loves to travel with her family, and enjoys books that come bundled with chocolate!
